We use Stripe as the payment processor on this website. Stripe collects the following information when they receive your payment transaction information: your name, email, credit or debit card number, purchase amount, date of purchase, payment method. The payment method information they collect depends on the payment method that is used to complete your transaction.
When Stripe conducts fraud monitoring, prevention and detection activities, they may also receive Personal Data about you as necessary to confirm your identify and prevent fraud. This may include your name, address, phone number and country.
All payment submissions in our checkout are made via a secure HTTPS connection. With Stripe, your payment information is sent directly to Stripe Payments for processing. Hygge Home does not see or store your credit card number.

Hygge Home does not knowingly sell products purchased by children. All purchases must be made by an adult (18+); purchases made by individuals less than 18 years of age, are assumed to be completed with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to provide you with our services.

FULFILLMENT INFORMATION & POLICY
Hygge Home operates on a build to stock concept. If we have stock on hand for your requested product(s), your order will be processed and fulfilled within four (4) to seven (7) business days. This does not include shipping time. If your order cannot be fulfilled in four (4) to seven (7) business days, we will contact you to provide an update on the ship out date.
DELIVERY INFORMATION & POLICY
Hygge Home is pleased to offer the following delivery options within Canada. We do not deliver outside of Canada.

FRONT DOOR STANDARD DELIVERY
Front Door items ship from the warehouse(s) by common carrier and by LTL freight and arrive to your home between seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days in Metropolitan areas. It may take between Two (2) to Three (3) weeks in other areas.
Front Door delivery includes delivery to your doorstep only, it does not include carry in or assembly services.
FLAT RATE PREMIUM DELIVERY
Our Flat Rate Premium Delivery can take up between seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days to arrive at your home in Metropolitan areas. It may take between Two (2) to Three (3) weeks in other areas.
Our Flat Rate Premium Delivery option applies to order amounts of $489.00 and above. This includes delivery to your room of choice, assembly services and removal of packing materials
For Flat Rate Premium Delivery service, you will be contacted by phone or email from the designated freight carrier office to arrange an appointment timeframe (typically a four (4) hour window).
Items that do not qualify for Flat Rate Premium Delivery include: Bordeaux Teak Crate (Small and Medium), Halifax Floating Wall Shelf (Small, Medium, Long, Extra Long), Halifax Coat Rack (Two Hooks, Four Hooks, Six Hooks, Eight Hooks), Halifax Step Stool, Halifax Kitchen Stool, Halifax Bedside Table with Shelves, Halifax Bedside Table with Dividers, Halifax Bedside Storage Unit with Basket, and Halifax Bedside Drawer Unit.
GENERAL DELIVERY TERMS
The general delivery terms apply for both Front Door Delivery and Flat Rate Premium Delivery.
All shipping rates are subject to applicable taxes based on your shipping destination.
If your purchase cannot be delivered in the estimated time provided (7 to 14 working days), we will immediately contact you to provide you with an update on the delivery circumstances.
If your product is damaged in transit prior to arrival we will arrange to ship a replacement unit immediately and cancel the delivery of the original shipment. Fulfillment and shipping times for replacements would be in addition to your original order's fulfillment and shipping times.
If you need to change your delivery date after you have finalized your purchase, contact our Customer Service department by phone at 1-833-668-2765 or by email at email@example.com, at least 48 hours prior to your estimated delivery date, or you will be charged an additional delivery fee.
It is your responsibility to notify Hygge Home of any special delivery requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, small trucks to navigate narrow roads and driveways, restricted delivery time frames due to local ordinances, proof of insurance for high rise and condominium buildings and service elevator reservations. Orders that are cancelled or rescheduled due to special requirements not communicated prior to delivery, will be charged the additional fees to reschedule your delivery.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all furniture items will fit any passage required to complete the delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, all doorways, stairwells, halls, and corners into the desired location. If the delivery company is unable to deliver your order to the desired location, due to an obstruction or limited space, you will be charged a 10% restock fee in accordance with our return policy. For any tight fit, the driver may request that you sign a damage waiver prior to attempting delivery.
An authorized adult must be home during your scheduled delivery window to accept and inspect your items and sign the delivery ticket. If no authorized adult is home to receive your scheduled delivery, you will be charged an additional delivery fee to reschedule the second delivery.
For Flat Rate Premium delivery we reserve the right to schedule a service technician to repair any imperfection noted at the time of delivery.
It is your responsibility to protecting your delivery location from damages. This includes, but is not limited to, floors and walls. Please lay rugs, blankets, or carpets down prior to delivery to reduce any risk of damage during delivery. Hygge Home will not be responsible for damage to any floors or walls.
The designated freight carrier is not permitted to move furniture currently in your home, nor are they allowed to move or set up electrical equipment.
You will be sent an email with the designated carrier information and your tracking number, so that you may track your delivery room online.
INSPECTING YOUR DELIVERY
Once your order has been received, please immediately check for the following: (1) the right item has been delivered, (2) damages to the product and/or the packaging (if applicable).
If you find any damages to your product or packaging, please indicate this on the delivery slip prior to signing for the item. This will greatly assist in the claims process with our suppliers/delivery companies.
We have a 14-day return policy, commencing on the first day following delivery. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If you wish to make a return, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be charged a 10% restocking fee on all regular stock furniture returns.
If returned items need to be picked up from your home, you will be charged a pickup fee. Your initial delivery fee is not refundable. Refunds by credit card will posted to your account within fourteen (14) business days. If you desire to reselect different furniture, please email email@example.com within seven (7) days of purchase. If you reselect, Hygge Home will charge a 5% restock fee and a redelivery fee.
Order changes and cancellation before delivery is scheduled
If you need to make a change to an existing order, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can accommodate changes to orders that have not yet been sent out for delivery.
If you change your mind, you can cancel the order at any time before your item is scheduled for delivery from our warehouse. To do so, please email us at email@example.com, we will cancel your order and issue a refund.
We will notify you when a courier is allocated to deliver your order. If you cancel your order after receipt of this notice, you will be responsible for the quoted delivery costs. These will be deducted from your refund. Please note that the majority of our items are in stock, therefore, the time gap between order and shipment is very limited.
If your order has been sent out for delivery, please refer to the next term.
Order cancellations after delivery & product returns
Cancellations made after your product(s) have been sent out for delivery will need to be made at the time of delivery, via a refusal on delivery or by making a return within the 14 day return policy. To cancel, refuse, or return an item, contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, refusal and returns are subject to delivery costs, collections costs (if applicable) and repackaging fees (if applicable).
Once you have notified us that you wish to return a product(s), we will arrange for collection of the item(s) by our courier. The courier will advise you of a proposed collection date. You must make yourself available to return the item(s) to the courier within the fourteen (14) day return policy. If you are returning the item(s) yourself to our warehouse, delivery must take place within fourteen (14) days of receipt. Please contact our customer service team for the return address.
If the refused or returned product(s) are not in their original packaging and condition, we reserve the right to assess a repackaging fee in order to restore the product(s) and packaging to their original condition (estimated $300.00 CAD). Upon receiving the refused or returned product(s), we will refund you the cost of the product(s), minus delivery costs, collection costs (if applicable) and any repackaging fees (if applicable).
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. If you are approved for a refund, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within fourteen (14) days.
You will be notified by email if a refund is rejected.
Late or missing refunds? If you have not received your refund, please check your credit card and/or your bank account. There may be a delay in the processing or posting of the refund with the credit card company or your bank. If your refund it still missing, please email us at email@example.com.
PRODUCT ARRIVED FAULTY OF DAMAGED
We always do our best to ensure the quality of our products, throughout production and during transportation. If your product(s) do not arrive in perfect condition, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 24 hours of delivery. In your email, please include a description and photographs of the product faults
We will assess the condition of your product ASAP, and, upon validation, we will either: (1) arrange for collection to replace your product* (2) issue a partial refund, or (3) arrange to repair the damaged product.
*Please note should you need to return the item, it would need to be securely packed in the original packaging.
Hygge Home offers a limited worldwide warranty that guarantees our products are free from defects in craftsmanship or construction for a period of one year from the original date of purchase, under normal use.
This warranty, expressed or implied, does not apply to product damage that arises from misuse, negligence, alteration, accidents, improper assembly, cleaned using wrong methods or products, or damage during transport. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
Hygge Home reserves the right to examine the product and decide if it is covered under the warranty. If a product is covered by the warranty, Hygge Home will, at its choice, either repair the defective product or replace the product with the same or a comparable product.
CLAIM PROCEDURE UNDER WARRANTY
If a problem arises that you believe should be covered under the warranty, contact the authorized dealer that you purchased your furniture from. The original purchase receipt, a detailed description of the defect(s), and photographs of the defects(s), are required for the claim to be approved. If necessary, the authorized dealer will contact Hygge Home, to proceed with repair or replacement of your product. Claims will be evaluated in a timely manner. Hygge Home reserves the right to require that defective parts be returned upon request.
If the product issue can be corrected without replacement, Hygge Home will arrange repair through the authorized dealer at no additional cost for the repair. If the product requires replacement, Hygge Home will arrange replacement through the authorized dealer at no additional cost for the product. Hygge Home is not responsible for costs or scheduling associated with the transportation or delivery of your repaired or replacement product; you must make these arrangements directly with the authorized dealer.
Any item repaired under this warranty, will be covered under the original warranty period (one year from original date of purchase). Any items replaced, will be covered for one year from the replacement date.
The prices displayed on Hygge Home web site are quoted in Canadian dollars and are valid and effective only within Canada, and such prices do not include delivery fees or sales taxes, if applicable, which will be added to your total invoice price. You are responsible for the payment of any delivery fees and provincial and local sales or use taxes that may apply to your order. While our goal is a 100% error-free site, we do not guarantee that any content is accurate or complete, including price information and product specifications. If we discover price errors, they will be corrected on our systems, and the corrected price will apply to your order. Hygge Home reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions (including after an order has been submitted and accepted).
Wood and Rattan are natural materials; no two pieces of furniture are exactly alike. Variations in color and texture should be expected and are not considered product defects.
Furniture items are to be used for their intended purpose only: to store and to display household items (e.g. sideboards, cabinets, hutches, wardrobes) or to support household activities such as seating1 (e.g.chairs), eating (e.g. tables) and sleeping (e.g. beds). Users must always exercise caution in operation. Children (and adults alike) should never be allowed to play, climb or hang on the furniture or its components (shelves, doors, drawers etc.).
To prevent serious injury from furniture tip-over, always place the product on a level surface and secure taller furniture pieces to the wall using restraints and wall anchor hardware (not provided). To further reduce the risk of injury, place heavier personal items in the lower compartments of the furniture.
Any wall fixtures (e.g. floating shelves2 & coat racks3), are recommended to be mounted to brick or concrete walls. Do not mount floating shelves or coat racks into dry wall. Mounting screws should be screwed into wall plugs.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
The condition of furniture can change over time. To retain the original appearance and prolong the durability of the furniture, routine care and cleaning is recommended.
Wood and Rattan contain moisture. The expansion and contraction properties of wood are affected by the surrounding climate. Fluctuations in humidity may cause the glued connections to split and the paint to crack. In extreme cases this may cause the wood itself to crack. To prevent wood movement:
- Maintain a stable level of air humidity in your home (50% relative humidity);
- Avoid placing furniture near heating and air conditioning sources
- The painted finish is sensitive to UV rays. To prevent changes to the color of the paint, avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight.
Dust your furniture frequently with a lamb’s wool duster and wipe down your furniture with a moist cloth periodically (chamois recommended). For a heavier clean we recommend using mild soap and warm water: a few drops of dish detergent should do the job! Do not use bleach, alcohol based products or any corrosive cleanser; these will damage the paint finish. Make sure to dry the surface thoroughly after cleaning.If your furniture contains glass components, please ensure to remove any dust or debris prior to cleaning, as these may scratch the glass.
To protect the paint finish against damage from hot/cold beverages and/or hot serving dishes, we recommend using cork or felt bottomed coasters and trivets. To protect the furniture from spills and scrapes, please use: place mats, tablecloths, or padded table covers.
Smoking materials can cause furniture fires. Keep your furniture and family safe from fires caused by careless smoking and unattended open flames.
All timber and rattan products are V-Legal certified and licensed by TÜV Rheinland. V-Legal documents assure the legality of the goods from their point of harvest to their arrival at their final destination after export. Indonesia signed a voluntary partnership agreement (VPA) with the European Union (EU) to comply with the standards and guidelines set forth by the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Action Plan.
The medium density fiberboard (MDF) used as a secondary construction material in our Halifax, Bordeaux and Provence collections meet the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Regulations and has undergone the Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) testing to comply with P1 & P2 emission standards.
The wood paint used in all home-furnishing products is approved for consumer use and verified by SGS.
